School Food Service
Evergreen Public Schools and Chartwells are committed to providing nutritious meals to the students in Evergreen Public Schools.
You will find that the menus have been nutritionally analyzed to ensure that we are serving one third of the RDA and that calories from fats do not exceed 30%. Calorie and Fat averages for the week are provided on the menu for your information.
For additional information or questions, call the food service office @ (360) 604-3956.

The middle and high schools also offer a variety of ala carte items. All students have a food service account that functions like a debit account. Checks may be deposited into a student’s account at any time and any denomination is acceptable. Please make all checks payable to the Evergreen Public Schools. The student’s debit account cannot accommodate charges. Students must have money in their account to cover the cost of the meal.
Children from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible for free meals or reduced-price meals. To apply for free or reduced-price meals, complete the application as soon as possible, sign it, and return it to your youngest child’s school. For students in Kindergarten through grade 3, lunch will be provided free to those student’s qualifying for free or reduced-price meals. Students in grades 4 through 12 may purchase lunch for 40
4 if they qualify for reduced-price meals. Breakfast will be provided free to those students qualifying for free or reduced-price meals. For more information, please view the Letter to Parents and Application form.
Chartwells, the food service department, will make every effort to accommodate all students with special needs or food allergies. For a non-disabled child, one of the following healthcare professionals can sign the diagnosis:

(doctor of Osteopathy)
- A licensed physician’s assistant who is licensed to a physician and
whose orders are countersigned by a physician
- An advanced licensed registered nurse practitioner who has
prescriptive authority, or
- A licensed naturopath.
