College Fairs
PORTLAND NATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR: Friday, Oct. 3, 9:00 a.m.-noon, and Saturday, Oct. 4, 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Blvd., Portland. Free. An opportunity for prospective college students and their parents to meet with admissions officers from several hundred colleges and universities from throughout the U.S. Information sessions will be available about the following topics: "Understanding the Admissions Process," "Paying for College and Explaining Financial Aid," "How to Search, Apply and Compete for Scholarships," and "Writing the College Admissions Essay."
