Clark County Skills Center Summer Coop – Open to students who are 16 and older in June and are employed in a job related to their career plans. Students must have completed a Career and Technical Ed class related to the work site.

Volunteer Service – Open to 11th and 12th graders only. Students must complete all required paperwork with their counselor before starting the volunteer hours. Students may not earn more than a total of 1.0 credit during high school for tutoring, volunteer service, and teacher assistant. For every 80 hours of volunteering a student can earn .5 credit, with a total of 1.0 credit for 160 hours volunteering and related assignments.

IQ ACADEMY– This is an online school through which your student may earn high school credit and work toward graduation. A student who wishes to attend for credit recovery must pay about $600 tuition for each course. Out of District Options:
Educational Service District (ESD) 112 – The ESD offers credit recovery courses to earn credit for social studies, English, and electives. The cost is approximately $120 per .5 credits. If you have additional questions, please contact Janet Webster at 750-7500, extension 290.
Correspondence Courses: Brighan Young University (user friendly) Portland State University Brigham Young University (BYU) which can be reached at 1-800-914-8931 or www.elearn.byu.edu and ranges from about $42-120 per class.

Clark College – Some students may opt to take college level classes to recover high school credit. Please contact the college about their “Exception to General Admissions Policy” to see if your student may be eligible for enrollment.
