High School Counseling

The High School Counseling program of the Evergreen School District is a comprehensive program that includes systematic guidance, responsive services, assistance in individual planning, and program and staff support. It is student-oriented, developmental and is all inclusive.
The program is designed primarily to facilitate the individual’s understanding of self and environment. It is further believed that developmental guidance is an integral part of the educational process. This program serves to augment and support the district instructional program.
The counselors in the district are dedicated to the primary purpose of encouraging each student’s search toward future career goals. The students are also assisted in setting realistic goals and in developing a sense of responsibility for individual actions and choices. The counselors act in partnership with teachers, administrators, parents, and key personnel outside the district. These efforts are focused on supporting all students as they progress toward reaching their maximum potential.
