The Early Childhood Center serves as a model for the state and the nation. It is a cooperative program among the Evergreen Public Schools, Educational Service District No. 112, and the Economic Opportunity Council of Clark County/Head Start and features extensive special education programs for at-risk and special needs students, such as those diagnosed with autism or autistic like behavior, or students with physical handicaps such as cortical blindness.
The district's music program is among the best in the state, with general classes, concert bands, choirs, strings, jazz bands, and competitive bands for just about any level.
The Special Services Department offers a wide range of services for students with disabilities. Integration of our special programs in every school is a hallmark of our philosophy.
The Outdoor Science School program is an opportunity for fifth-grade students to experience the outdoors and apply what they learned in the classroom.
Elementary keyboarding teaches fourth and fifth-graders keyboarding technique so they can effectively use computers.
The Highly Capable Program provides a more challenging academic program for students in grades three through eight who demonstrate exceptional intellectual skills and creative talents.
This fall, the popular, live television program Homework Helpline will be back for it's 19th season. If a student needs help with a homework question, they can call or email the show for assistance. It airs Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week during the school year on Comcast cable channel 28.
Our quality Vocational-Technical Occupations and Career Education Program offers agriculture sciences, business and marketing, family and consumer science, and technical occupations. Additional science resources are provided through a partnership with Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) - a professional industry association.
Evergreen Public Schools is the host district of the Clark County Skills Center, a cooperative educational venture between eight southwest Washington school districts. High school juniors and seniors are trained in technical career areas too expensive for a single district to fund. Examples include computer-integrated manufacturing, construction technology, dental assisting, and health/medical careers. Thirteen of 15 Automotive Technology students who took a national Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) test passed every section - an accomplishment only 190 students in the entire country managed.
Legacy High School offers an alternative educational opportunity to high school students in the district. It serves an average 160 students.
The district's Home Choice Academy was created to partner with parents to provide home schooled students with additional educational opportunities. The school offers classes designed specifically to students who are home schooled.
iQ Academy Washington is an on-line school where students can take classes from home or at the Internet Academy Center.
CHOICE is a special education program using the community as the classroom, providing functional and age-appropriate instructional activities for high school students.
Evergreen offers a comprehensive K-12 athletics and activities program, ranging from after school activities to state level competition.
