ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENTS OF THE 2021 THUNDER CLASS Save this date! Monday, February 27th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Incoming Freshman Information Night Welcome to Mountain View High School! Please join us for a fun and informative evening. You will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet our teachers, learn about our core classes (English, math, social studies and science), Elective options such as, Performing Arts, College Career and Technical (CCTE) Programs, World Languages, and our Honors/Advanced Placement (AP) options. 6:00 - 6:20 and 6:30 – 6:50: Meet in the auditorium for a general overview of the school, freshman requirements, graduation requirements and forecasting information that will help you select your freshman year classes. Identical presentations will be given at both 6:00 and 6:30 for your convenience. 6:30 - 8:00: After the overview, students and parents are invited to the Student Center and Main Gym to browse some of the classes, clubs, athletics, and activities available at Mountain View. You may also wish to tour the school and become familiar with the campus! 7:00 - 8:00: Those who wish to learn more about Mountain View's core classes as well as Honors and Advanced Placement programs will meet with teachers in the 300 building. Discussion will include the rigor and rewards of Honors and AP and a comparison to the core classes to assist you and your child when making forecasting decisions. What Happens Next: All 8th grade students planning on attending Mountain View High School next year are invited to attend the 8th Grade Tour on February 28, 2017. This tour will be a field trip during the regularly scheduled school day. Field trip permission slips are required and will be distributed at the Middle Schools.
