District and community partners collect sports equipment donations

The Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) Wellness Committee recently hosted a donation drive of new and gently used sports equipment for the Good Sport Equipment Connection (GSEC). EPS staff donated several large boxes of baseball, football and soccer balls, baseball bats, football gear and much more.

Evergreen Public Schools and partners--The Parks of Clark County, Nautilus, Inc., Police Activities League of Vancouver, Clark County REALTORS® Foundation, iQ Credit Union, Clark College and DeWills - have launched the GSEC to help level the playing field so more kids can play.

The GSEC believes that every child deserves access to sports and the benefits they bring. From improving academic performances to teaching fairness, to increasing coping skills, the benefits of participating in sports and physical actives are endless. New studies continue to emerge on the importance of unplugging and reengaging in sports and outdoor activities.

The EPS Wellness Committee would like to thank Andrew Gratzer, Business Development Director with iQ Credit Union for providing the donation bin.
