Student artists celebrated at annual District Art Show

Each year Cascade Park Regional Library transforms the into an art gallery. The library hosts the Evergreen Public Schools district art show. Student artwork in the mediums of painting, pottery, photography and digital animation are on display for a week in May – and are eligible for various awards.

Every piece at the show is a winner for their school, here are some of the entries including a Superintendent Award winner, one of several that will be on permanent display in the district offices.

Sharon Springer Award- Uma Solomon-kindergarten, Orchards Elementary School; Merry Cammack Award-Rachael Kramer-twelfth grade, Heritage High School (HHS); Superintendent’s Award-Sophia Andrushko-first grade, Home Choice Academy; Eviana Rudolph-fourth grade, Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary School; Elizabeth Griffin-eighth grade, Frontier Middle School; Allison Wilks-twelfth grade, Mountain View High School; Kevin Jones-twelfth grade, HHS and Timothy Moody-twelfth grade, Union High School.

Special art presentation

Middle and high school art teachers surprised John Deeder with a special piece of art they created, to honor his support of art education. Deeder is retiring this July.
