Safe and Drug Free Schools

Evergreen Public Schools annually applies for federal funds to participate in the Safe and Drug Free Schools program. These funds help support an Intervention Specialist to assist students with issues related to safety, drugs and alcohol. You can reach an Intervention Specialist by calling the main office at your child's school.

The school board has authorized that police drug sniffing dogs will be brought onto high school campuses on a random basis to check lockers and vehicles for illegal drugs. Dogs will not come in contact with any students during these checks. This practice is conducted as a deterrent to having drugs brought onto high school campuses.
