The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO JOIN THE MILITARY TO TAKE THIS TEST – IT IS EXCELLENT PRACTICE FOR SATs). It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students. There is no cost to take the ASVAB!

YWCA Clark County is accepting scholarship applications through March 13 for its Young Women of Achievement Awards. Four scholarships will be offered to 12th-grade students of schools in Clark County.
Top candidates for the award are female role models who are involved in the community and demonstrate “outstanding achievement in volunteer and school leadership roles” and a “commitment to YWCA Clark County’s mission,” the nonprofit said in a news release.
