April Good News Report

We are looking for host families for French teens this Summer anywhere from 4-8 weeks!

The teens are coming here to experience life in the U.S. and to be a part of your family during their stay.  
You don't have to speak French to host them as they are wanting to improve their English.
If interested, contact Sheryl Meservey, French Teacher at sheryl.meservey@evergreenps.org

Maxime, 15 yrs.  (6-8 weeks June-July).  He is very fun and outgoing and loves all sports and traveling.  

James, 15 yrs.   (4 weeks from mid July).  He likes water sports, classic cars, and also rides horses.  

Hermine, 15 yrs. (4 weeks June).  She plays piano and tennis and also participates in scouts so likes doing outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, etc.

Constance, 16 yrs.  (6 weeks June-July).  She loves dance and takes lessons in classical and modern dance.  
She also likes swimming, skiing, nature walks, shopping and is learning to play the piano.  

Victoire, 16 yrs. (4 weeks mid June-mid July)  She rides horses and enjoys the beach, shopping and spending time with friends and family.

Fisher's Landing, Harmony receive Achievement Awards

Fisher’s Landing was recognized in two categories: High Progress and English Language Acquisition. Harmony was recognized for Closing the Achievement Gap. Both schools will be recognized at a state awards ceremony in early May.

Air Quality testing in EPS

Evergreen Public Schools is conducting voluntary radon testing at schools across the district.

EPS adopts 'Safe, Welcoming, and Inclusive Schools' resolution

The resolution affirms that the district will provide "safe, welcoming, and inclusive schools for all students without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, identity/expression, income level, disability, national origin, or immigration/citizenship status." The Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) board of directors voted to name Dr. John Steach as the district's next superintendent

Next year's general school calendar was approved by the board of directors and features several small changes from previous calendars.
