Evergreen Public Schools is preparing to open its 21st elementary school next fall. Part of this process entails formation of a committee to redraw the boundaries of some of the existing elementary schools. The committee, which is comprised of parent representatives from the potentially affected elementary schools, has been meeting regularly to come up with a new boundaries proposal. You can view a map of this proposal beginning on Friday, November 9, at any of these six elementary schools, which are the ones affected by the proposal: Burton, Fircrest, Hearthwood, Image, Orchards and Sunset.

The new boundaries proposal can be viewed online by clicking HERE. Please note that the old boundaries are marked on the map with the light colored lines, the new boundaries are marked with the thick blue line. You can also view a map of the current boundaries by clicking HERE. If you would like a closer look, use the zoom tool which will magnify the map down to street names.

You are invited to share your questions and feedback on these proposed changes in several different ways. You may submit written comments and questions to the committee by filling out a comment form, available at your school’s office which will then be forwarded to the committee. You can also call and leave a message at the district’s boundary hotline at: 604-4060 or send an email to: communityrelations@egreen.wednet.edu
