Highly Capable Programs Testing

Referrals for testing for participation in Evergreen Public School’s Highly Capable Programs (EXCEL) for the 2009-2010 school year are currently being accepted. Anyone may refer a student including parents, teachers, other students, and members of the community.

The EXCEL programs are designed to address the needs of intellectually gifted students in grades 2-8.  Your school has brochures explaining the program options, curriculum, identification process, and the schedule for testing.  Referral forms are available online HERE.  Click on referrals. Additional information can also be obtained through your school’s Highly Capable Programs Liaison.

Students in grades 1-7 will be tested in January, February, and early March for possible placement in the 2009-2010 school year. Once your student has been scheduled, the date will not be re-scheduled except for a true family emergency or illness.

Referrals must be returned to your Building Liaison by Wednesday, November 26, 2008 or the HCP office at 13501 NE 28th Street, Vancouver, Blue Complex.  Referrals will not be accepted after that date.
