Boundary Review Committee members needed

A Boundary Review Committee is being established to advise the school district as it creates boundaries for a new elementary school set to open in September of 2008. The committee will include a parent from each of the district's elementary schools that potentially could be impacted. These schools include: Burton, Crestline, Ellsworth, Fircrest, Hearthwood, Image, Marrion, Orchards, Riverview, Silver Star and Sunset.

Committee Members will need to participate in weekly evening meetings during the month of October and early November and also attend several community forums scheduled for mid-November. Important characteristics for committee members include:

• good map reading and analytical skills
• public speaking ability
• ability to make the time commitment
• a broad view of what is in the best interests of all Evergreen Public Schools students.

If you are interested in participating on the Boundary Review Committee and your child attends one of the above mentioned schools, please provide your name, address, phone number and email address to the principal of your child's school no later than September 12, 2007.
