Boundary Exceptions (New for 2012-13)
In-district (Resident) Exceptions
Beginning Monday, January 9, 2012, parents may submit In-District boundary exception forms for the 2012-13 school year to the District Office/Burgundy Complex. This will include students in "K" - 12th grade.
Decisions for 1st-12th grades will not be made until 2012-2013 staffing is complete, sometime in late Spring. Parents will then be notified by the Boundary Department.
Any student already on an In-District boundary exception does not need to reapply if the request will be for the same school.
KINDERGARTEN decisions will not be made until late August 2012.
Inter-district (Non-resident) Exceptions
Any student currently on an Out-of-District boundary exception coming into the Evergreen District will be sent an "Intent to Renew Boundary" letter in January 2012. By completing and returning this letter to our District Office/Burgundy Complex, the parent is letting the Boundary office know that "your intent will be to renew your Out-of-District application for the 2012-13 school year."
The "Intent" letter is not a pre-approval and does not guarantee an out-of-district transfer will be granted for the 2012-2013 school year.
The actual "boundary renewal process and application" must begin at the resident district office in which you live, but can not begin until May 1st, 2012, or after.
IF AN EVERGREEN DISTRICT FAMILY MOVES OUT OF OUR DISTRICT AFTER THE "INTENT" LETTERS GO OUT, in January, the parent may pick up an "Intent to Renew Boundary" letter at our District Office/Burgundy Complex.
This "Intent" information will be used to help make staffing decisions for the 2012-2013 school year.
