Family and Consumer Science
Family and Consumer Science classes provide students the opportunity to identify and develop skills needed in balancing personal, family, and work lives. Courses provide students with an opportunity to learn preparatory skills that allow them to move toward careers in food science, nutrition and fitness, child development, education or finance. Each class allows for practice both in and out of the classroom and includes leadership, and developing community resources.
All Family and Consumer Science Education classes meet the Occupational Education graduation requirement. Course offerings are displayed below under the three strands - Child Development & Teaching, Financial Literacy, and Nutrition, Science & Fitness.
