April 28 - All Born (IN) Educational Best Practices and Cross Disability Inclusion Conference: The Northwest Down Syndrome Association is excited to announce that, thanks to a partnership with the Clark County Developmental Disabilities Program, we have scholarship money available for Clark County families and adult self-advocates interested in attending the cross-disability All Born "In" inclusion conference on Saturday, April 28th.
The conference is in its 7th year, and has something for everyone, with sessions on early childhood education, IEP goal writing and classroom supports, and transition to adulthood, employment and housing. We have a special focus this year on Universal Design for Learning, and are very excited to welcome keynote Speakers Madeleine Will of the National Down Syndrome Society and Dr. Robi Kronberg, an educational consultant who has been in the field of education for 30 years.

Power Tools For Caregivers Class
In the six weekly classes caregivers will develop a wealth of self-care tools to: reduce personal stress; change negative self-talk; communicate their needs to family members and healthcare or service providers; communicate more effectively in challenging situations; recognize the messages in their emotions, deal with difficult feelings; and make tough caregiving decisions.
