Boundary Exceptions
Boundary Exceptions
In-district (Resident) Exceptions
The procedure for in-district boundary exceptions varies by grade. For kindergarten through eighth grade, you are required to submit an exception form, along with a letter of hardship, to the School Services Office.
For students in grades nine to 12, submit a boundary exception form to the resident high school for release. The application will be sent to the requested school. Granted requests will apply through completion of high school.
Inter-district (Non-resident) Exceptions
Requests for inter-district boundary exceptions include requests from Evergreen residents to attend school in another district and requests from students who live outside the Evergreen area to attend an Evergreen Public Schools school.
Inter-district boundary exceptions request must be filed in the student’s resident district using the “Application for Attendance in Non-resident District” form.
The request may be granted upon release from the resident district if the student and parent agree to the terms and conditions of the accepting district and if space is available.
Inter-district exceptions may be revoked for non-compliance and must be renewed annually. For more information, please call the School Services Department at 604-4008.
