Key Performance Indicators

The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are the grade level benchmarks examined annually by the school board to monitor student achievement and growth in learning.  All School Improvement Plans focus on growth in the grade-level-related  indicatos as well.

At the ELEMENTARY level, the indicators are:

  • % K-5 students meeting or exceeding district reading standard in June
  • % K-5 students meeting or exceeding district math standard in June
  • % 2nd Graders meeting or exceeding the DRA2 standard for second trimester  (March 15)
  • % 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders meeting or exceeding the state reading standard in the spring
  • % 3rd, 4th & 5th Graders meeting or exceeding the state math standard in the spring
  • % 4th Graders meeting or exceeding the state writing standard in the spring 
  • % 5th Graders meeting or exceeding state science standard in the spring

At the MIDDLE SCHOOL  level, the indicators are:

  • % 6th, 7th & 8th Graders at and above 90% attendance rate for the year
  • % 6th, 7th & 8th Graders with a “C” or better in English/LA for the year
  • % 6th, 7th & 8th Graders with a “C” or better in Math for the year
  • % 6th, 7th & 8th Graders with no discipline record
  • % 8th Graders enrolled in Integrated Math
  • % 8th Graders with a "C" or better in Integrated Math at the end of the year
  • % 8th Graders enrolled in Physics for the year
  • % 8th Graders with a "C" or better in Physics for the year
  • % 6th, 7th & 8th Graders meeting or exceeding the state reading standard in the spring
  • % 6th, 7th & 8th Graders meeting or exceeding the state math standard in the spring
  • % 7th Graders meeting or exceeding the state writing standard in the spring
  • % 8th Graders meeting or exceeding state science standard in the spring

At the HIGH SCHOOL level, the indicators are:

Grade 9:

  • % Students @ or above 90% Attendance rate
  • % Students w/C or better in Eng/LA
  • % Students w/C or better in Math
  • % Students meeting Math Integrated 1 district standard
  • % Students w/No Discipline record

Grade 10:

  • % Students meeting or exceeding State Reading standard
  • % Students meeting or exceeding State Math Integrated II district standard
  • % Students meeting or exceeding State Writing standard
  • % Students meeting or exceeding State Science standard

Grade 12:

  • % Students taking one or more AP course(s )during high school
  • Students included in the Adjusted 4-Year Cohort Graduation Rate
  • Students included in the Adjusted 5-Year Cohort Graduation Rate
  • % Graduates qualified to enter 4-year institution in the State of Washington
  • % Graduates who earned college credits in high school
